Interview details

For the second phase of our ongoing research into the lived and living experiences of young people who take benzos in Scotland, we are inviting you to take part in a short 1–1 interview. Participants who complete an interview will be given a £20 voucher for their time and expertise.

This research is being conducted by the Benzo Research Project (BRP) in collaboration with Scotland-based harm reduction and outreach charity Crew2000 and Dr Karenza Moore, Reader in Sociology at Newcastle University. The research project has received ethical approval by the Newcastle University Research Ethics Committee (ref. 65006).

If you:

• Are between the ages of 18 and 30 years old at the time of participation;
• have taken non-prescription benzodiazepines in the past year;
• and live in Scotland, identify as Scottish, or have worked or studied in Scotland in the past year;

then we would very much like you to participate in this project. If you are 16–30 years old, you can still participate in Phase I by sharing your story anonymously online!
